(Fumoir Musquaro), has issued a warning against consuming a specific smoked salmon product due to improper preparation and packaging that could lead to bacterial contamination. Sold by Fumoir Musquaro located at 3 Rue … See More
du Copaco, Port-Menier, QC, Canada and also sold by the establishments located at 1835, boulevard Laure, in Sept-Îles, and at 6, rue des Olympiades, in L’Île-d’Anticosti. The recall was initiated by the operator as a precautionary measure after the potential for bacterial contamination was discovered. The product could potentially harbor the bacteria Clostridium botulinum. As of now, no cases of illness associated with the consumption of this product have been reported.

The product in question is

- Product: Smoked Salmon Pot Smoked Salmon Smoked Salmon, Maple Syrup
- Format: Unitary
- Target Lot: Units sold until April 18, 2024

The product is packaged in a glass jar with a metal lid and sold refrigerated, with a label reading “Fumoir Musquaro” affixed to the top of the lid.

Do not consume it and return it to the store where it was purchased.

it down to the refried beans. They had a salty-bitter taste, but not strong. They also seemed to have a rancid oil aftertaste when I would burp. By that point it was too late. Two and a half hours later, I was feeling nauseous. I went home from work, and went to bed and stayed there until morning. gradually got so severe, violent & nonstop, i could not stop even with medicine had to go to ER, released with severe nausea that continued for 6 days after. arbys drive thru chic also got sick f/oj at same location as well as another woman posted on fb she got sick f/oj at the Phoenixville McDonalds. I called the day I got sick and was blown off because no one else called it wasn't until the 4/15/24 when i found the other two women who also got sick f/ mcdonalds orange juice that i called mcdonalds again and spoke to jeff.. is it two late to be tested for anything that would have indicated food poisoning , hospital only tested for gastro issues via blood samples that were fine. .. again the sequence of events and how fast it happened when i drank the oj along with the two other folks indicate food poisoning. mcdonalds insurance does not want to pay for my bills(no insurance) and missing work because they say the other two women are hearsay and i cant prove it was food poisoning.. the hospital did not have a determination when i asked she shrugged her shoulders.. but again the events and timing point to food poisoning from mcdonalds orange juice and the other location is only about 9miles from the one i went to ,, so it is very feasible that they got the same oj deliveries.. also no one near me previously, during , nor after got sick..  | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Chills, Gas

Sold at Trader Joe’s stores in AL, CT, D.C., DE, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, NC, NE, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, VA, VT, and WI.

Seven of the eight cases with available information reported exposure to fresh organic basil purchased from Trader Joe's before falling ill. Further traceback data collected by the FDA pinpointed Infinite Herbs, LLC, in Miami, FL, as the supplier of the organic basil sold at Trader Joe’s stores. Infinite Herbs, LLC is cooperating with the FDA investigation and has agreed to initiate a voluntary recall.

The product, Infinite Herbs-brand organic basil, is packaged in 2.5-oz clamshell containers and has been removed from Trader Joe's store shelves and this product should no longer be available for sale. Symptoms of Salmonella infection typically manifest within 12 to 72 hours of consuming contaminated food and can last up to a week.

Consumers who purchased organic basil from Trader Joe’s stores in the states listed above should check their refrigerators and freezers and should not eat 2.5-oz packages of Infinite Herbs-brand organic basil. The investigation is ongoing to determine the source of contamination and whether additional products are linked to illnesses.
