Diarrhea, Fever, Nausea, Vomiting

My family and I went it for a quick bite before the long ride home. My brothers wanted milkshakes really badly and after hearing they wanted to one so did I. They got large milkshakes and one got a cheeseburger, I got a whopper meal my parents... See More didn't want anything. I sipped the milkshake and it tasted funny. I opened the cap and my chocolate milk shake was whiteish not the brown color and was suppose to be and even weirder it tasted like strawberry. I told my mom to close her eyes and o then asked her what she thought it tasted like and she said a strawberry shake. My mother took a secound sip when she opened her eyes and I told her it was supposed to be chocolate. Her and I decided not to take another sip my brothers however drank the whole thing. When we got home my brothers started vomiting everywhere (not a gun clean up) not even an hour later my mom vomited and some time later I did. We stood up the whole night fighting for the toilet now my father was fine and he was the only one who did no ingest the shake. We have all been laying in bed all day feverish, nauseous, have dirahhea and fighting for the bathroom we are losing bodily fluids fast.I wanted to report this because i don't want anyone feeling the way o do. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Nausea, Vomiting See Less

Public health authorities are investigating an increase of cases of a potentially-deadly bacteria Verotoxigenic E. coli (VTEC) in the midwest region. More than 20 VTEC cases were notified in the region between July 31st-August 27th, including several hospitalizations according to Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) provisional data.... See More

According to the news, multidisciplinary public health teams have managed and investigated outbreaks and cases in households and in rural settings, particularly on or near farms, and sites with access to a private well supply, and sources of infection are under investigation.

The VTEC strain produces a powerful toxin that can cause severe illness, particularly in children under five and the elderly. The infection can be passed from person to person, through consuming contaminated food or water or contact with infected animals or contamination in the environment. In addition to causing severe stomach pains and diarrhea, VTEC can cause a serious condition known as Haemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS), which results in the breakdown of red blood cells and kidney failure. A small number of HUS cases have been confirmed.

In case you are experiencing E. coli symptoms such as watery diarrhea (often bloody), vomiting, stomach cramps, and mild fever, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.

Raja Foods LLC of Skokie, Il is recalling its 3.5 ounce package of "SWAD CINNAMON POWDER" because it has the potential to be contaminated with lead. Product was distributed thru retail grocery stores in the Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast regions of the United States. There have been... See More no illnesses reported to date.

Short-term exposure to very low levels of lead may not elicit any symptoms. It is possible that increased blood levels may be the only apparent sign of lead exposure. Additional signs and symptoms of lead exposure are more likely with acute exposures to higher levels of lead or chronic exposure to lead. While lead can affect nearly every bodily system, its effects depend upon the amount and duration of lead exposure and age/body weight. If a child is exposed to lead for a protracted period of time (e.g., weeks to months) permanent damage to the central nervous system may occur. This can result in learning disorders, developmental defects, and other long-term health problems. For adults, chronic lead exposure is associated with kidney dysfunction, hypertension, and neurocognitive effects.

The products included in this recall are, SWAD BRAND CINNAMON POWDER in clear plastic 3.5 OZ bags, UPC 0-51179-34280-4, from either of the following two batches and Best Before Dates: Batch KX21223 Best Before July 2026 and Batch KX08123 Best Before March 2026.

About 24 hours ago on March 12th I purchased chicken breast at Publix on rivers edge. When I got home I cooked it. Because I was cooking other dishes and using seasoning, I didn't initially realize the smell. I took a bite out of the chicken and... See More it tasted absolutely disgusting. It tasted completely off. I smelled the chicken more closely and it smelled vaguely rotten. The smell got worse after about 15 minutes as the chicken cooled. I called the store and they apologize, gave me a refund, and accepted my return of all the other chicken that I purchased that day. I am concerned that there is a bigger issue at hand, either at the store where the chicken is not being kept correctly, or in transport. It makes no sense that chicken that was supposed to be good for another week was immediately rotten when I had purchased it from the store that same day. Now, 24 hours later, I'm experiencing nausea and gi issues. | Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting See Less

My family and I visited Tahini in Mahogany Plaza on March 5th. I had the Gyro Shawarma, and my kids shared a Jamaican Jerk Chicken Shawarma. Unfortunately, we all felt sick about 20 minutes after eating. When I called to inform them, the response from the staff... See More was dismissive, which was concerning given the seriousness of food making people ill.

I'm sharing our experience to caution others potentially considering this establishment. Despite their claims of offering healthy food, our experience suggests otherwise. There are many genuinely healthy dining options in the Mahogany area, and I recommend exploring those instead. Based on this experience, we won't be returning to Tahini. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting
