I ordered a chicken bowl with brown rice, pinto beans, guacamole, fresh tomato salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, fajita veggies, cheese, and romaine lettuce at 12:30 on 06/02/2022. At 2 pm stated to have abdominal cramps/pain, and nausea. I felt like I needed to throw it all up.... See More I drove an hour home from my workplace with sweats and all my power not to puke. After getting home, I was still feeling nausea, threw up and went to bed at 7:30 with the chills. This was the worst experience I've ever had after eating it. See More in 10-15 mins after my son & I ate the food we got immediate stomach cramps followed by diarrhea, I myself was nauseous for the rest of night, diarrhea subsided after a couple of hours for me, my son had more the stomach cramps & diarrhea. We eat at Chipotle all the time & never got sick. We are going to continue to eat there. I will say this the prep counter was gross the foods were cross contaminating by the way they were preparing it. When one of the employees was preparing food for customer in front of us he accidentally got extra food on the outside container of the guac dish it fell onto counter he then pushed it back into there serving bowl of guacamole, then another employee got sour cream into another side. That's why we only chose the corn & salsa. I realize it gets busy but way too much food cross contamination. The HMC Group Marketing, Inc., which does business as HMC Farms, is voluntarily recalling peaches, plums and nectarines sold in retail stores between May 1 and November 15, 2022 and between May 1 and November 15, 2023. The fruit is being recalled because it has the potential... See More to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled fruit was distributed nationwide and sold at retail stores as individual pieces of fruit bearing PLU stickers (see images attached) or in consumer packaging (also shown in the attached images) and sold at retail between May 1 and November 15, 2022 and between May 1 and November 15, 2023. The recalled peaches have been linked to an outbreak of Listeriosis that has resulted in eleven illnesses.
Listeria monocytogenes is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
This recall includes only conventionally grown fruit – no organic fruit is being recalled. Peaches, plums, and nectarines currently available for sale at retail stores are not included in this recall.
Consumers: Although the recalled fruit is no longer available in retail stores, consumers may have frozen the recalled fruit at home for later use. Consumers are urged to check their freezers for the recalled fruit, not consume it.
This recall is being carried out with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
