I have severe stomach pains and nausea. I feel very sick and I feel like throwing up, after I tried some tortellini and a weird looking piece of meat. See More orange type vodka sauce with the toretllini but instead they gave me a light colored pink sauce that tasted horrible with light cheese. I've had stomach pains for hours. I ordered a side of meatballs with it. The meatballs didnot look or taste like a meatball (or ground beef). A big blob of undercooked light "tan color tint" "weird " meat was given to me. It was disrespectful for the restaurant to even sell this and take my money. Overpriced also 20. I will be asking for refund and not being ordering from here again. It is a food and safety issue. Either the owner is taking a bribe to tamper with it or a delivery person did this, or someone switched the food on delivery and tampered with it. The illness onset dates of the cases ranged from April 25 to May 18. A small number of cases in other states are also under investigation by the CDC and state health departments.
Some of the ill people reported eating undercooked ground beef. A source of the ground beef has not yet been identified. Public health officials urge Illinois residents to follow safe food handling steps when preparing and eating ground beef. Ground beef should always be cooked to an internal temperature of 160°F before eating and the temperature should be checked with a food thermometer.
