Got a chocolate milkshake, took a drink from it and it tasted like a weird fruity chemical taste. Immediately felt sick and started spitting up a moderate amount of blood, before heading to A&E with a raw throat and stomach cramps.  | Symptoms: Nausea, Cramps

con issues unrelated to the further incident a couple of days later. Prescribed two inhalers to help. As I returned to the hotel room, three days into our holiday, I begun to feel very nauseous. This became worse as the night progressed and I threw up a number of times followed by an onset of diarrhoea and stomach pain. It appears after digging around that this hotel has had a number of outbreaks of the novovirus over a period of years! There were also other guests here complaining about a sickness bug to the reps so watch out. We haven't drunk anything except for the bottled water here except for a sip of their water which quite frankly was quite disgusting. We ate sensibly each morning and night. I swum in the pool only once before catching this and washed my hands regularly... I don't think I could have been more careful. The rep called to check in on me and asked to keep her updated. She said I could have a private doctor or for 150 euros. I said I would see how I faired today. I'm still sat in my room feeling rather drained and nauseous. 2023 my brother was awake during the night being violently sick and unwell with bad diarrhoea. He was in bed for 2 days and although his symptoms have now stopped, he is only just getting his appetite back after 5 days. Then on Sunday night I started with a headache and then Monday I was being violently sick along with diarrhoea. My symptoms were even worse than my brothers, as I am Type 1 Diabetic and on insulin. I had to call 111 for advice as my blood sugars were low and I couldn't treat it because I kept vomiting. They advised me to go to A&E which I did. I had to go on two drips. I had ketones which are basically poisons in my body from being so poorly with my Diabetes. I only came home on Wednesday and although my symptoms have subsided, I still have stomach cramps and loss of appetite. 3 doctors at the hospital confirmed it was food poisoning. The doctors all asked what I had eaten and I told them I had a chicken and bacon toastie and they asked when I had it. if this had not been rectified. I was put on a drip to hydrate me and given intravenously anti sickness meds. After about 10 hours in a corridor I was sent home. The Thursday I still was as bad so phoned my go who said I needed to let it out and gave me tabs to keep me hydrated. Over the second weekend it had not stopped so phoned 111 who said I need to get hold of my own go today Monday and ask for them to send a stool sample off. I have phoned my go and they are sorting this for me. I also now need a sick note for work and will have a huge electric bill for all the bedding I’m having to wash. I phoned restaurant and spoke with a manager who said it is impossible to get food poisoning from them.
