Nausea starting in the morning then repeated vomiting (5 times) then around 16:00 severe diarrhea, visit the nurse then appointment with the doctor, hospitalization: blood test and under infusion for rehydration.

We flew to Cape Verde We’d 1.11.23 by Sunday both myself and partner had severe diarrhoea. We are still not completely recovered, but fortunately had taken 3 packs of Imodium which we used up. We couldn’t eat much and couldn’t move far from conveniences during our visit..

We stayed at Riu Palace only ate there and both started after 4 days and still not 100%

I amongst many holiday makers we’ve spoken too are in the middle of a severe gastric issue. This place seriously needs looking into, we wish we had known how bad it’s reputation is we wouldn’t have come for sure

We arrived on the 21st November and by the 23rd I had horrendous diarrhoea and nausea. I passed so much blood and was petrified I was dying. It was just uncontrollable for 2 days and I couldn’t go anywhere other than visiting the toilet 50 times a

day! I felt dizzy with a fever to. I am convinced it was from a burger that I eat at the pepes bbq. It completely ruined our holiday especially as I am breast feeding our 8 month old baby. We had to result in asking a fellow holidaymaker (lovely lady) to give us formula to feed the baby as I was far to poorly to feed the baby.
The next evening after still visiting the toilet for the 30th time that night I picked up my phone that was in the bathroom to be alarmed by a huge cockroach on it.
