the restaurant. All of us spent the next 24 hours vomiting and having terrible diarrhea in the hotel where we were staying. We had to extend our hotel stay 2 more nights (3 rooms!) before we were able to travel. When we reported the food poisoning to the restaurant manager he said that it was impossible that we got sick at his restaurant because no one else had reported food poisoning that day. He eventually refunded us $69 out of the bill of $335 (not to mention the additional $1000 plus that we spent extending the hotel and car rental!). It's a terrible experience, and then on top of it to have the restaurant deny any responsibility is adding insult to injury. My advice: stay away from the Wintzell's Oyster House in Mobile, AL!

sick as I did. The chicken seemed to taste a bit different than usual, but not bad. It was obvious that I had food poisoning, as I had all of the disturbing symptoms. As I type this day (on Sunday April 7, 2024), I’m just beginning to feel better, but my muscles & joints are still weak and extremely painful. I’ve never been so ill in my entire life. We kept the receipt and the cardboard carrier with information regarding time, date , etc, and we stored a piece of the chicken in a labelled baggie in the freezer.

ate two of them. One bite into the third, I was like this tastes funny and the texture feels weird. I started feeling nauseous around 1am. At 4:30am, I was awakened with stomach cramps and ran to the bathroom. I first vomited and then the diarrhea came. Went back to bed, only to be awakened two hours later. More vomiting and diarrhea, but worse. I took Imodium. Had one more bout and the diarrhea subsided but the nausea lasted all day.
