Street in Montreal. The recall was initiated by the company in agreement with MAPAQ and the Montreal Food Inspection Division as a precautionary measure. The warning is specifically for individuals who suffer from wheat or milk allergies, celiac disease, or other gluten-induced illnesses. As of now, no allergic reactions associated with the consumption of these products have been reported to MAPAQ.
The products in question are the "Mergez" and "Italiennes Fortes" sausages.
- The "Mergez" sausages contain wheat.
- While the "Italiennes Fortes" sausages contain both wheat and milk.
These allergens are not declared on the product labels.
If you have this product at home, do not consume it and we recommend returning it to the store where it was purchased.
