- comments: observed poor hygienic practices by food handlers observed female employee put her phone in rear pocket and then removed food from refrigerator and another employee had on plastic gloves and walking around with a food bowl in his hands with his fingers inside of bowl on his way to put food inside also a male employee pulled out his phone while mixing rice and then put it back into his pants pocket all of them didn't wash hands after every possible contamination. SO last year my wife and i got violently ill from this same Chipotle. You can try and call corporate offices to see if they will do anything, but the long story short is no. Not even offer you a refund on your meal. My solution (i thought) was to file a report with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Once you file a complaint they send inspectors there to make sure the food and temperatures are up to standards. This is independent because when you call corporate, they will tell you they do daily internal tests, but it is interesting to note that when the inspector went out they failed on temperature issues. I think this is the only way to keep these places honest and have the consumer front on their minds - ALWAYS
