I bought a family size box of Honey Nut Cheerios several months ago. Honestly, they're not my favorite, but I needed a change from my usual gluten-free Chex. I am gluten intolerant, so my food choices are very limited. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what packaged foods and restaurants are safe. So, occasionally I experience a bout of cramping, diarrhea and my other symptoms of "glutening", usually from supposedly gluten-free restaurant meals. I didn't suspect the Cheerios until yesterday. Within a few hours of eating them, the gastro symptoms began and I woke up this morning with a swollen tongue. The last time I was "glutened", recovery took over a month.
