Additional information: Nightmare for two days. Bathroom every 10-15 minutes, freezing chills while sweating, joint aches, not much fever in the way of temperature though. That White Castle was the only food eaten in 24 hours, and the following 60+ hours no food was tolerated. At noon, I ate a bag of Hershey mixed flavored chocolate that I bought at Dollar General the day before. After sleeping, I felt nauseous, wanted to throw up, and had a very upset stomach. Then I looked at other things at Dollar General (one near Poinsett State Park) yesterday and found that the contact lens care solution actually expired on March 1st. Face wash and makeup remover also don't have a shelf life at all. Therefore, it is suspected that the chocolate has expired, but since it is a pouch, the packaging has been thrown away. the matter is ongoing. The products were distributed across Western Washington. The recall was initiated after local health partners discovered the presence of STEC in the products during routine testing.

The recalled products include Cozy Vale Creamery raw milk and cream sold in gallon, half-gallon, quart, and pint containers with best by dates from 2/18/24 to 2/29/24 and 3/18/2024 to 3/28/2024. The specific batch and UPC details were not provided.

E. coli bacteria normally live in the intestines of humans and animals. Many strains of E. coli bacteria exist, and most of them are harmless or beneficial to human health. STEC are strains of E. coli that produce Shiga toxin (such as E. coli O157:H7) and can cause serious illness in people.

If you have the recalled Cozy Vale Creamery products at home, do not drink or use them. You can return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Lidl US has received no reports or complaints of illness related to this product to date. The product was distributed to all Lidl US store locations in Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Virginia.

This recall includes units with the brand, “Deluxe,” printed at the top of the front panel, and “Party Edition” at the bottom of the front panel (back panel of package will not have English labeling or ingredients). All units have a barcode/UPC of 4056489365365.

Affected products contain the following undeclared allergens:
Wheat, Soy, Egg, Milk, Tree Nuts (Almonds, Pistachios, Coconut)

The issue was internally discovered after delivery to our stores. If customers have purchased this product, they should not consume it, and immediately return it to their nearest Lidl store for a full refund (a receipt is not required for return).
