Consumed one spoon of a Del Monte Mandarin oranges fruit cup evening of Feb 7, 2024. It was ordered through www.target.Com so location is unknown, and the cup was part of a 4 count mandarin box inside of a large 12 count various fruit box which also... The color of the product also appeared to be dark orange, almost brown -- I have not had mandarin fruit cups before so I was unaware of the unusual appearance initially. All of the mandarin cups seemed to look this way. Next morning, noticed stomach upset which was mild, but then around 3pm MST started getting liquid diarrhea and bad stomach cramps and nausea. Zobel Ethiopian Cuisine, a restaurant located in Seattle, has been linked to a recent outbreak of gastrointestinal illness. The incident, which is believed to be caused by a bacterial toxin, has affected two individuals from separate households who reported becoming sick on March 4, 2024. No ill... The outbreak was investigated by the King County Public Health Dept., which identified symptoms and timing of illness onsets suggestive of a bacterial toxin, such as Clostridium perfringens or Bacillus cereus. The exact food ingredient or drink that caused the illnesses was not identified, a common occurrence in outbreaks associated with bacterial toxins. The two affected individuals reported symptoms consistent with a bacterial toxin, including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramping, chills, and body aches.

Environmental Health investigators visited the restaurant on March 11, 2024, identifying potential risk factors for bacterial toxin growth, including improper cooling of food and inadequate refrigeration. Corrective actions were implemented immediately, and investigators provided education on proper cooling procedures for cooked foods

There were three of us who went to see Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks on March 9, 2024. We had floor seating. Before the show started, two of us had a frozen margarita from the bar at the rear of the floor seating. About an... See More hour later, I started getting severe stomach cramps and feeling like I needed to get to the restroom ASAP. I spent about 45 minutes in there. The first time. I started to leave the restroom on four different occasions, only to unlatch the door and feel the need to continue “the process”. After feeling like any food and beverage from the last three days had exited my body, I washed my hands and started down the hall. It was in between the two artists, so there were at least 100 ladies in line for the restroom. I saw my friend (who had the other margarita), and she was starting to feel ill at that point too. I figured it would be safe to wait in line with her once again, because by the time I got to the restroom, which looked to be at least an hour of a wait, I would probably need to go again. That time, we both spent 45 minutes to an hour in the restroom wiith severe diarrhea. We had really good seats out on the floor, but unfortunately, we probably only saw a total of about 45 minutes of the concert, because we were unable to leave the restroom. We continued to be sick until the next morning, exchanging who would be in the bathroom back at our hotel room. The third person, who did not have a margarita, never got sick. It was definitely the margarita, as we tasted something a bit off when we were drinking them. We just figured it was a different mixture of ingredients. I complained to the restroom attendant, who I got to see MUCH more than I cared to that night. I told her that we had gotten sick from the margarita.
