The California Department of Public Health is warning consumers not to eat Shemshad's Litteh Pickle and Pickeled Diced Vegetables, Eggplant, Garlic, and HaftBijar food products because they were produced outside of the CDPH Cannery Program oversight, making them susceptible to potential Clostridium botulinum contamination. Shemshad, is voluntarily recalling its Litteh Pickle and Pickeled Diced Vegetables, Eggplant, Garlic, and HaftBijar products. These products are under the Shemshad brand name in 16 ounce glass jars with screw-on metal lids. The recall applies to all lot codes of these products, except for the Pickled Diced Vegetables and Pickled Garlic with the lot code SD31123125 and SG31223125 respectively.

Botulism toxin is odorless and colorless, so consumers will be unable to determine if their product is affected. Consumers who have any of this product or any foods made with this product should discard them immediately.

In case you experience Botulism symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain, report it now. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.

Quebec's Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ), in collaboration with the Food Inspection Division of the City of Montreal and the company Produits Eden, has issued a recall for prepared empanadas. The recall is due to the undeclared presence of eggs, posing a risk to consumers... See More with egg allergies. The issue was discovered during routine inspections by the MAPAQ and the Food Inspection Division of the City of Montreal. The company is currently recalling the products. It should be noted that no cases of allergic reactions associated with the consumption of these foods have been reported to MAPAQ so far.

The recalled product is the empanada prepared and sold by Produits Eden. The empanadas were sold in a plastic tray covered with a transparent plastic film. Specific details include the brand name "Produits Eden", size/weight not specified, batch details not provided, UPC not given, and no best before date mentioned. The exact amount of recalled products has not been stated.
