Bacon Food Poisoning

Even though bacon is salt-cured to help prevent soiling, it is still possible to get food poisoning from bacon. Eating undercooked bacon can cause illness, such as toxoplasmosis, trichinosis, and tapeworms. Some of the symptoms of bacon food poisoning can be nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, and fever.

Saturday 4/6/24.
April 5th 2024 approximately 7am I ate a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich. The eggs were kind of watery and didn't seem right but I ate it any way. Within 6 hours I had nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, the worst cold sweats I have ever heard off. I layer on my friend cold tile floor for probably two hours. They checked my blood sugar level but it was fine. I drank about 8 oz of pedialite. That allowed me to make the 30 minute drive home. Within and hour the symptoms got bad again. It's now day two and I have nothing left in my stomach to vomit. I still have alot of nausea and a low grade fever. In the flip top reach in cooler on the main cook line, cooked potatoes (56F - Cold Holding) stored in a container above the cooling plane on top of closed containers. and the meal was waiting on my selected table upon my return. That same night, all my food was brought up after eating about 2:30 - 3:00 pm. In addition, a small meal of quich plus chips, peas, tinned tomatatoes eaten around 7pm was also brought up later on that night. Sickness takes form of a gassy stomack and nausia that increases from late evening tboughout night. Clearing this food brings relief and second clearence allows for good sleep when before you are simply waiting to vomit. I eat out twice that day. First time was a simple two rasher bacon sandwitch that morning around 11:30-12:00 mid-day. Nothing untoward about prep time and well cooked bacon. I had also visited a hospital to collect meds that day and always washed my hands after visiting a toilet. I recognised the Five bean Chilli.
