we want Japanese food. However, May 28, 2023 I had a really bad experience. I at the Triple Tuna which I have ordered before. It tasted fine as far as I could tell, but about 30-40 min after finishing lunch, I could tell my stomach wasn't feeling right.

I had one bout of the runs about 60-90 min after I finished eating. Things went south from there. Felt terrible, nausea, abdominal pain, then I got the chills really bad, like really bad. I called 911 for some medical advice, but food poisoning you just have to puke and poop it out and drink gatorade and water and wait for it to pass through your system. Still, the 911 operator sent an ambulance and they took my BP and did an EKG and gave me the usual advice. There was even 2 fireman with them! I quickly asked them to leave since I am sure they have more important calls to attend.

Why I won't be back. Though I've been a regular customer here. I called them yesterday and asked to speak to a manager. The guy who answered said, "there is no manager here today" and hung up. Great. I then called back and was shuffled to 3 different people when I told them I was sick after eating lunch at their restaurant. The last guy I talked to said someone would call me back. A woman called back as the paramedics were working on me so my wife took the call, but she basically said, "Our tuna is fresh!" so I must have gotten food poisoning somewhere else. Great. Thanks for the call. Hopefully this wasn't a part of a larger problem here.

No one from the restaurant has contacted me since I was poisoned.

It's now $30 per meal to eat at Crystal Fish and that's getting a bit pricey for me. Due to this experience with food poisoning and how the staff dealt with it - no apologies, no comped meal, no checking up on me the next day etc, they just lost a repeat customer. Anybody know of another Japanese restaurant in the area that you'd recommend?

Oddly, even though they have a website, I could not find an email address to contact them with.  | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Fever, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Chills

April 2018. We stayed for a week and on the last night we had dinner at a Japanese restaurant. I went back to the room around nine as we were leaving the next day. By 330 am I was so violently Ill I was crawling on the … See More
bathroom floor. I was with two friends and was the only one that got sick. I was deathly Sick. I was staying in a different building than they were and called the one girl at 4 in the morning out of desperation as I was vomiting and had diarrhea so bad I couldn’t stand. She came from her building and called a cart to take me to where they had what they referred to as a doctor. It was a room with no bathroom. I was on the floor throwing up in a garbage can and shaking violently. I asked for a blanket and they gave me a wet towel from under the air conditioner. She ( the pretend doctor ) gave me something but I was throwing up so violently. I knew I had to go to the hospital. My friend called a taxi but it never came and I finally just told them to call an ambulance. I went to the hospital in an ambulance. I got IV and two types of medicine. I have no idea what it was but they put it in my IV and the doctor said he thought with that I could make it back to the States. I was flying home that day and I was in a different airline than they were so I was alone. At ten am I took a taxi from the hospital to the resort. I had called my friend and the hotel allowed her to pack my things. I then took a shuttle to the airport. I don’t know how I even survived. It was a blistering 97 degrees and on a Saturday. I had extra tsa screening. I was barely standing. They brought me a chair on the jet bridge and kept asking if I was going to be able to go on the flight but I knew I had to get back to the states. It was by the Grace of god I made it home. On my layover in atlanta I literally couldn’t even stand in line to get a drink. I slept on the chairs. When I got back to Pennsylvania my daughter had to take me to the emergency room again where they gave me Morphene and Bactrim and promethazine and several things for diarrhea. I was off work for over a week. I still don’t know how I made it home but I still don’t feel like my body has recovered. I literally thought I was going to die in the DR. I didn’t realize that so many other people were also very sick at the same time and same resort. I was just reading an article that said there were ten reported falling Ill in 2018 and I decided I should share my story as I was also there in 2018. As a side note. I was 58 years old and hadn’t even had a doctor for 43 years. I was always the picture of health. Since then I have never felt like I fully recovered. If there’s any doubt to my account of what happened I have witnesses and the hospital and ambulance bills from the Dominican and from here when I returned home.  | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Vomiting, Shaking
