Mice feces seen on shelving throughout retail area; the market had a heavy mouse infestation in the rear storage and retail areas; visible evidence of insect or rodent contaminated foods in the candy isle; dead flying insects were found in the refrigerated display case outside of bakery area and ice cream display freezer; swollen cartons of beverages were found in the refrigerated beverage case; medication was stored inside cabinet with utensils and equipment; employee did not wash hands prior to putting on gloves; employee in deli area was seen handling ready-to-eat food with bare hands; deli slicers are not properly washed, rinsed and sanitized; duck tape was used on floor tiles in the retail area; the facility did not have a garbage grinder.
Due to imminent health hazards observed during this inspection, the establishment was issued a Cease Operations Order and must discontinue food operations immediately. The establishment could not operate for a minimum of 48 hours.

routine inspections by MAPAQ. The products were sold at Nordest Butchery, its boutique at the Jean-Talon market located at 7070 Henri Julien Avenue, Montreal, QC, Canada, and potentially through the Lufa Farms website. No allergic reactions have been reported to date.

The recalled products include "Honey and Garlic Chicken Wings" (containing soy), "Korean Style Marinade Beef Strips" and "Korean Style Marinade Chicken Strips" (containing sulphites), and "Meatloaf" (potentially containing soy, peanuts, and tree nuts). These items were sold in unitary format, and all batches lacking allergen information are subject to recall. The products were vacuum-packed in transparent plastic pouches and sold frozen.

Do not consume recalled products that you are allergic or sensitive to, as they may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction; and do not serve, use, sell or distribute recalled products. We recommend returning it to the store where it was purchased.

I started experiencing intestinal cramps. Then, when we got back to the hotel, the nausea started. That's when my spouse told me she had been feeling ill as well. She was the first to vomit and I followed there after. We struggled to finish packing for the morning flight. We only had fluids in the form of water and apple juice for the entire journey. She only experienced nausea, intestinal cramps and vomiting. I on the other hand had all the symptoms including chills, nausea, intestinal cramps, vomiting, fever and diarrhea.
