The FSIS announced the recall of approximately 5,620 pounds of raw ground beef products by Skyline Provisions, Inc, that may be contaminated with a foreign object. These products were shipped to institutions in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont and Wisconsin. There have... See More been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
The recalled products are:
- 20-lb. carton boxes containing four packages of “SKYLINE PROVISIONS, INC. GROUND BEEF 81/19” with “ITEM # 000248” printed on the label.
- 20-lb. carton boxes containing four packages of “SKYLINE PROVISIONS, INC. GROUND BEEF 75/25” with “ITEM # 000293” printed on the label.
These products were produced and packed on Aug. 19, 2023, and bear establishment number “EST. 19300” inside the USDA mark of inspection.
The problem was discovered after FSIS received a customer complaint reporting that a foreign object was found during food preparation.
FSIS is concerned that some product may be in institutional freezers. Institutions are urged not to serve these products.

I bought an almond croissant which I buy often from there and it had dark chocolate (which I had an allergy to as a kid, also it was in chunks) instantly tongue numbness, mouth tingling and face... I visited medical care and was told I now have gerd, chocolate allergy, prescribe epi pens, daily Pepcid and Zyrtec daily until see the allergist. I was seen at two medical clinics and was not prescribed any steroid or anything else. I suffered for months after this, my 3 rd visit to the medical center was disappointed that I was not given any steroids, because I still was having issues since then. Bix Produce of Little Canada, MN., is issuing a voluntary recall of Grab N’ Go containers of cut cantaloupe and mixed fruit cups due to the potential for Salmonella contamination in the products. The affected cantaloupe products were distributed from October 19th through October 20th, 2023, and were sold in the states of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin at convenience stores, delis, and business cafes. To date, there have been no illnesses reported related to products distributed by Bix Produce.
-Consumers, restaurants, retailers, and wholesalers should not eat, sell, or serve recalled cantaloupe or recalled products containing cantaloupe.
-Consumers who may have frozen cantaloupe or cantaloupe products for later use should check their freezers and throw away any recalled products.
-If you cannot tell if your cantaloupe is part of the recall, do not eat or use it.
