Update June 17th, 2026:Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) has updated the recall notice to clarify that the recall was initiated following the detection of the prohibited veterinary drug Nitrofurazone (SEM) in the affected Cooked Scampi Shrimp Head-On Shell-On product.

ASO United Pty Ltd has issued a recall for its Cooked Scampi Shrimp Head-On Shell-On due to chemical contamination with Nitrofurazone (SEM), which is a veterinary drug that should not be present in food. The product was sold in Asian grocers and independent retail stores across Victoria, Australia.
