Update April 6th, 2026:The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has retracted the public health alert for Great Value Fully Cooked Dino Shaped Chicken Breast Nuggets after determining the product does not pose a public health risk.
Follow-up testing conducted by the New York State Department of Health and the manufacturer found no elevated levels of lead in any tested samples, including the original lot.
FSIS concluded that the initial result was a false positive caused by laboratory contamination during analysis, not an issue with the product itself.

Dorada Foods has issued a public health alert for its frozen, dinosaur-shaped, ready-to-eat chicken nuggets due to potential contamination with unsafe levels of lead. These products were distributed to Walmart locations nationwide in the United States.

The issue was identified during routine surveillance sampling by a state partner. The alert was announced on April 1, 2026, by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
