Pâtisserie Samadi et Fils, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ), has issued a recall for pastries containing pistachios due to potential Salmonella contamination. These products were sold in Montreal and Laval, including at Pâtisserie Noisettine. The affected pastries were available until October 15, 2025, at Pâtisserie Samadi et Fils locations and Pâtisserie Noisettine. They were sold without labels at Samadi and under the Noisettine brand elsewhere. The recall is a precautionary measure following a national Salmonella outbreak linked to pistachios from Iran.
The recall is classified as Class I. The issue was identified through food inspection processes.
