The FSAI announced the recall of Schär Gluten Free Fibre Crispbread due to the presence of elevated levels of atropine and scopolamine as they may cause a risk to human health. Atropine and scopolamine are tropane alkaloids. These toxins, which are naturally occurring in some plants, can contaminate some cereals, due to their presence among the crop at harvest time. This product was distributed in Ireland.The recalled product is:
- Schär Gluten Free Fibre Crispbread, 125g, batch code: 306520; Best before date: 06/03/2024. Country Of Origin: Italy.
Do not consume, use, sell, serve, or distribute the recalled product.
