Avocado Rice Bowl Illness - Giant Eagle, Glenshaw Pennsylvania

Last night for dinner I made homemade rice bowl around 6 pm. Ingredients included minute rice, taco chicken (made with canned cooked chicken & Chi-Chi’s brand salsa), shredded cheese, sour cream, and fresh avacado cut into chunks. My husband also had lettuce on his bowl. It was delicious and we felt stuffed but fine. Around 11 am the next day, my husband had a splitting headache, and felt terrible. By noon I was feeling queasy. Began throwing up by 2:30. Had many trip to the bathroom for diarrhea and vomiting. We both got a chill and couldn’t get warm for hours.
