“Bob Evans sausage Ate breakfast at about 11 am Tuesday February 18th, 2020 that consisted of 2 scrambled eggs, 4 Bob Evans Maple Sausage links. I work the night shift so I went to bed about Noon. Woke up a couple of times - having trouble sleeping - gurgling stomach,... horrible gas. "Water faucet" like diarrhea began about 7 pm and is still going on at 5:00 am, Wednesday February 19th, 2020. I'm waking up every hour or hour and a half to go to the bathroom. ”
“My mother and I ate hamburgers at Bob Evans and later that evening we both became sick..she had diarrhea, vomited with nausea and I had high fever, nausea and vomited, Nothing else happened. 2 people got sick and we ate approximately 1:00 p.m. and by 9 p.m. the symptoms of... nausea started adn it went from there ”
“My father and his two friends got food from there. All three got sick (nausea, vomiting, cramps, diahrrea about an hour after eating. The friends got better after a few days, but dad got worse.
Over time he was vomiting everything he ate and could only handle fluids.... Over the next few weeks he had the following: Increased abdominal pain, diahrrea, vomiting, dehydration, lethargy.
Dad kept getting worse, he thought It might be stomach flu, but I didn't. Dad missed Doctor's appointments (he's on dialysis) on and off, for about a month. He got so sick he missed 2 appointments in a row and hadn't had dialasys for 5 days - which is VERY BAD.
With his dialasis, he sometimes got sick after, but this was different. He was literally screaming in pain and delerious.
They took him away in an ambulance, screaming in agony. He stayed in hospiral 11 days.
Turned out he had an abdominal obstruction and severe inflammation and infection, caused by.....severe food poisoning. They put him on an I.V, had to sedate him, give him strong pain meds, shoved a tube up his nose and into his bowrls. They drained several LITERS of infected fluid from his intestines. They told me that if he'd waited one more day, he'd have died. Died.
This all goes back to the day he went to there. They have always been crappy; missing more thsn one item, wrong change and more than once my hamburger or egg mcmuffin was ice cold and so stale, it seemed like it was in the first stages of rigor mortis. Plus the fries were burned more than once and I'd gotten attitude (from regular staff, not the msnagers) whenever I had to go back and fix the issue (I'd stopped going there way before my dad got sick).
I don't know if any others have suffered food poisoning and/or dysentery at the hands of this particular reasturant, but I wouldn't be surprised.
But, after ALL THIS, nobody I know will even go near that place again!!! ”
“Arrived Jan 30, 2020 with a group of 11 adults. Second day into trip we spent the day at the side pool. Few of us had a tequila shot and mojito. Simultaneously, 5 of us became very ill. Vomiting, could not stand up, passing out and blacking out. We have... no memory of the rest of the day. Only thing I remember is being dragged up the stairs to my hotel room by life guard and other staff member. Thankfully, the members of the group who did not get affected ensured we were cared for. When I woke up, I had hot/cold flashes and vomited bile for the next 10hrs. ”
“Famous Bowl from here I ordered a famous bowl at approximately 8:30 last night (1-20-20) I felt fine so I thought. I went to be around 11:30 appx and was woken up by extreme cramping, non stop diarrhea as well as nausea and vomiting. It was coming out of both... ends! The pain was so bad it literally kept waking me up out of my sleep. I am afraid to ever eat another famous bowl in life again after that experience ”
“February 1, 2020, at 1:47 PM. I purchased 3 Haagen Daz ice creams, 14 oz size, assorted flavors, at this store. The first one was consumed immediately, the same day. It appeared to be OK. The second one was consumed later that evening. The second one seemed to be OK,... but as I got closer to the bottom, it was obvious it had not been refrigerated properly. The bottom had melted and then refrozen, before I bought it. Ck'd my freezer, the thermometer showed a temp of minus 5 degrees F.
Developed nausea a few hours later that night, then extreme fatigue for the better part of a week, Notified the store manager, of the refrozen ice cream and asked him to ck with his vendor to try to prevent future occurrences. He sent me an email a few days later indicating he wanted to discuss it with me. Saw him Feb 7th, Thursday, at the store. I told him I wanted to discuss it as well but was in a hurry, would do it later when it was mutually convenient. He, not to be put off, followed me down the back stairs and started an apparently prepared speech. YOU ARE MAKING A LOT OF COMPLAINTS. IT SEEMS WE CAN'T PLEASE YOU. NO ONE HAS EVER COMPLAINED BEFORE. He even quoted the ice cream vendor, who was not present, as saying, he, the vendor had never a complaint about melted ice cream, he repeated his speech several more times with the additional filip that, "YOU WOULD BE HAPPIER GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE.”
As background, the store freezer, full of ice cream, had malfunctioned a short time before that. Many pints of ice cream had melted but were refrozen when the freezer came back on. I mentioned to him, at the time, those ice creams should be disposed of. The vendor or he may have been putting a few pints of refrozen, spoiled, ice cream back in the freezer in an attempt to minimize the dollar loss.
Whatever the cause, spoiled ice cream should not be sold. Telling customers to go somewhere else is not an effective way of dealing with concerns about spoiled products. They and the Health Department need to take the necessary steps to prevent future occurrences.
“Four of us went there for dinner, 3 of us got sick. We had salsa, guacamole, chips, bean and rice burrito, and 3 Chile Rellenos orders.
We can’t pinpoint the culprit as 2 people that ate the Chile Rellenos and the 1 person with the bean and rice burrito got... sick. The 4th person had the same food as the others but never got sick.
We think it could have been the salsa as they brought a 2nd round of salsa to the table in which the 4th person did not have.
The sickness included lots of vomit and diarrhea for about 12 hours. Chills and fever were present. ”
“I ate the Singapore Street Noodles and I thought that they tasted amazing. I got home and started feeling nausea and I have been up throwing up since then. I did not eat anything else today that was out of the ordinary besides the food from there.
My dinner party... of 3 all got sick. The symptoms began about 2 hours after ”
“Myself, my dad and brother met up in Falkirk on the 14th of February and went to eat there. My dad and I order coffee and the house special burger, my brother ordered a coke and a chicken burger, and we shared a garlic bread. On the night of the... 15th I was violently sick multiple times, my dad was too just 8hrs later and my brother had diarrhoea soon after that. I live 100miles away from my family and for us to all fall ill at the same time it can only be down to this restaurant. ”
“I made the awful mistake of buying the Banyan Won Ton wrappers located in the refrigerated foods section by produce. I got the worst food poisoning of my life! My husband got sick as well. I am 3 months pregnant and was dangerously sick from this food, vomiting multiple times... with fever, chills, and was unable to leave my bed or eat much of anything for days. I went to the doctor after I wasn't getting any better and was informed the bad food had given me a bacterial infection. I contacted them about this incident and you know how they responded? They did not take me remotely serious. Offered me a refund for the bad food I tossed in the trash after it made me sick but did not offer to reimburse me for my medical bills as a result of the awful food poisoning and did NOT even pull the bad product from the store shelves! On the contrary! They RESTOCKED the shelf with MORE!!! Do not buy refrigerated foods from this store! This is not the first incident of me getting bad/spoiled food from this store. Its food quality is going down fast. They should be ashamed for knowingly selling food that makes people sick! ”
