Chicken Supremes Illness Report - Bojangles, Winston-Salem North Carolina

I am writing to report a suspected foodborne illness following my visit to the Bojangles on Reynolda Road in Winston-Salem on Friday, July 3, at approximately 4:00 p.m.

I ordered three Cajun Filet Biscuits, a 3-piece Chicken Supremes Combo, and a Bo-Berry Biscuit. When I placed my order, I was told the Chicken Supremes were not ready and that I would need to wait about six minutes for a fresh batch. I waited, but when my order was brought to my car, it was clear that the Chicken Supremes were not freshly prepared as promised. They appeared to have been sitting for some time, while the Bo-Berry Biscuit was extremely hot and obviously fresh.

After eating my meal, I went to a hair appointment. By approximately 7:00 p.m., I developed a severe headache. I went home to lie down, and around midnight I woke up with severe vomiting, diarrhea, intense stomach pain, and chills.

The following day, Saturday, July 4, I had to cancel all of my plans because I was too sick to leave my house. As of 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 5, I am still experiencing nausea ,stomach pain, chills, and a pounding headache.
I have not gone to the hospital because the severity and frequency of the diarrhea have made it difficult for me to leave my home. I am submitting this report because I am concerned that my illness may be related to the food I received during my visit.
