I’ve already had food poisoning once while in Brazil, in the State of Para, but it cleared up and I was 100%. I believe that was either from water, seafood (no raw) or beef I ate from a street vendor. I then visited Fernando de Noronha with my wife, who is from Belém, which is why I was in Para. While in Fernando we decided to get some sushi because the island seemed well enough for it. We went here with some people we met at our Inn. That was about 30 hours ago, and now I am in Rio de Janeiro with diarrhea again! I don’t have the other terrible symptoms I had in Belem so I know it’s not a resurgence of the same bug…but I’m nervous it’s going to get worse before I get better. The sushi spot was here. I’m not 100% positive this is from there, but I feel like it is. My wife is fine though. I plan to reach out to the friends we are with to see if they’ve experienced anything. | Symptoms: Diarrhea
