Ate Clovis Farms Organic Super Smoothie mix and was nauseous and vomiting about 3 hours later. Passed quickly. I did not believe that the frozen smoothie mix was the cause for some reason... so I ate it again one week later. But unfortunately, about 3 hours after ingestion I again became violently ill. It passed pretty quickly this time, too.

“7/15/2019 @ 17:05 - The Tomato Basil Pasta was not tasting right. As we left the establishment to go to the car, my girlfriend's daughter who ordered the pasta was not feeling good. She stated she felt "nauseous". As we were driving, she felt like she was going to throw up. Her throat felt like she... was going to gag. As we drove further (getting closer to home), she started to get an intense headache. The leftovers, that I had requested to take along, not at the request of my daughter's friend who was being polite to just politely dismiss the food and not making the request to take it, had created such a stench in my car and our kitchen smelt horrendously upon bringing the leftovers into the house. My husband asked me, "what is that smell"?! Upon calling the restaurant, a manager asked if he could place me on hold (C. R.) the minute I stated "we were just there within the hour and my daughter's friend is sick from her meal"...the minute I said that, he screams "oh know, let me put you on hold" -- without hearing the concern or asking any further questions. I said, "what?! You're placing me on hold? Someone is sick from your restaurant? We have a serious concern here!" He said, "yes, I need to get a form for a report." My cell phone records, 8 minutes later, a different person came on the phone and claimed to the be the same person (different voice claiming the same first name) and said he doesn't know anything about my call and that he didn't put me on hold. Yes, I swore, saying "I can't f'in believe the shenanigans with someone terribly sick from your establishment with food that smells sickly and sour and who is in my care only to be placed on hold and no one knowing about the call!" He hung up the phone. My husband called back only to have sat on hold for over 10 minutes by having used my cell phone. Interestingly, he continued to hold on my cell phone on one ear...called the restaurant from his cell phone on the other ear and was able to get a manager! Upon explaining the circumstances, and asking for corporate's phone number, they ultimately wanted to send a gift card...THAT WAS NOT THE POINT OF THE CALL! Someone has food poisoning from your establishment! What is the solution?! How is this going to be handled and what are next steps for the injured party? My husband had to ask 3 times for the corporate phone number to have be provided. The "manager" pressed for the name of the minor child; to which, my husband stated he was only comfortable providing her first name given she is under 18. He provided her mother's name and cell phone. The "manager" insisted on OUR home address and names to be provided as well as our check number, items on the check, time stamp of the check receipt -- the call concluded. We are never eating there again -- we reiterated several times not to send the gratuitous gift card! We have someone in our care, who had flown in from out of state, and the solutions were: 1) putting us on hold, 2) have us call back, 3) have us call back yet again, 4) us forcing the symptoms to be heard that the injured party was experiencing and 5) company wanting our address to send a gift card?! NEVER will we back...flies flying all over the place, to include numerous fruit flies -- my girlfriend's daughter continuously was shoeing them away throughout our meal! So concerning on so many levels and just flat out disgusting! Feel terrible this is where I took my girlfriend's daughter for dinner on our way home from having picked her up from the airport -- should have been a lovely time/experience! This is just plain awful -- awful with accentuated expletives! Shame on this restaurant. ”

“We ate dinner there. My mom and I had the Ultimate Feast. My mom had to send back her first lobster as looked like not fully cooked. Our other lobsters and shrimp looked that way as well. Within about an hour of eating it, I had to run to their bathroom and had diarrhea pour out of me 5 times.... I then walked over to a store and bought Imodium and took 2. I was bloated, cramps, and queasy. My mom got diarrhea last night and today. Once the Imodium wore off I got diarrhea again. We had not eaten anything similar for the last several days, so more likely than not it had to be the food. Another member of our party had to send back the Kung Pao Lobster because it had an odd taste that was extremely sweet and a chemical taste. They luckily then just had a hamburger and was fine. The service was lacking, so had a hard time trying to even tell the waiter about it. I am back on Imodium today. ”

“CDC, public health and regulatory officials in several states, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are collecting different types of data to investigate a multistate outbreak of Salmonella Duisburg infections.
Epidemiologic and traceback data show that Jule’s cashew brie may be conta... minated with Salmonella and may be making people sick.
As of April 21, 2021, five people infected with the outbreak strain of Salmonella Duisburg have been reported from three states (CA, FL, TN). 2 people have been hospitalized and no deaths were reported. Illnesses started on dates ranging from February 1, 2021 to February 27, 2021.
It is possible that more recent illnesses may be reported in the outbreak because there is a period of time between when a person becomes ill and when the illness is reported to public health officials.
State and local public health officials interviewed people about the foods they ate in the week before they got sick. Of the five people interviewed, three (60%) reported eating Jule’s truffle cashew brie – the only common product identified. Two of these people reported eating the cashew truffle brie at the same restaurant on different days.
On April 22, California officials found Salmonella in samples of all varieties of Jule’s cashew brie collected from grocery stores. Investigators are working to confirm if the Salmonella bacteria found in these products is the same bacteria making people sick in this outbreak.
Jule’s Foods recalled all their products on April 22, including:
-Jule’s cashew brie (classic)
-Jule’s truffle cashew brie
-Jule’s black garlic cashew brie
-Jule’s artichoke spinach dip
-Jule’s vegan ranch dressing
CDC advises everyone not to eat, sell, or serve the recalled products. Jule’s Foods has stopped producing and distributing all of their products. Products were for sale online nationwide and in stores in many states.

“I bought food for myself and my brother there on Tuesday April 27th, at around 1:45pm. I had a protein shake and sweet potato fries, while my brother had a cheddar cheese quesadilla with chicken. I brought the food home to eat around 2:30 and my brother could only eat half of his food because he did... not really like how his tasted and did not like the cheddar cheese combo. (I was in a rush when I ordered our food so I mistakenly chose Cheddar cheese- not the best choice for a classic quesadilla.) I didn’t have any symptoms for the rest of the day, except somewhat mild stomach issues- a gassy stomach, cramping). At around 7:00 we were going to have dinner, but my brother started feeling ill (the last thing the both of us ate was crave). He was having awful stomach cramps and had the urge to throw up. He stayed in the bathroom from 7:10- the next morning (today). All night he was either vomiting multiple colors, sometimes red, green, or orange and had diarrhea. He also had a fever for most of the night, and I just checked right now (9:35am - April 28th) and he STILL has a fever :( We really believe crave is at fault here. Maybe the chicken was undercooked, not cleaned properly, or went bad... maybe the knife they used wasn’t cleaned... I don’t know!! There is no way we can return to this restaurant after this experience. I think they should seriously go over their cleaning protocol and re-evaluate the staff and the procedure in the kitchen. This really sucked. ”
