I received a new product lentils and leek crumbles which I cooked and ate over about 3 days. I had some increased abdominal pain during the week after that and now in retrospect I did have diarrhea, but I also have endometriosis so at the time, I believed it was that. However, a week later I experienced severe body, abdominal pain and fevers and was admitted to the hospital for 5 days. My liver function tests were very abnormal with very high bilirubin levels and high liver enzymes so they thought I had a liver abscess or cholangitis. I had multiple scans, IV antibiotics and almost had a liver biopsy. I received two emails from them saying there was a product recall of this lentil and leek crumbles while i was in the hospital. And then I discovered there are multiple reports of other people who ate this product from there and then had acute liver toxicity of unknown origin. This is more than just “GI” upset from a food product.
