I was with my father and together we met my brother, his ex-wife, and younger daughter, plus her four-year-old son, for dinner on the evening of Christmas day. I ordered the chicken cheese melt, I think it was called. There were mushrooms in it, also, which I don't usually have a reaction to. About 10:30 that night, I was on my stationary bike exercising, when I was suddenly dizzy and quickly got off the stationary bike and sat down. As I am diabetic and a caregiver for my father, who is also diabetic, I staggered into the room where my father was to ask him what low blood sugar felt like, and was nausea a sympton? He really didn't seem to think so. I grabbed a small garbage bin I used for recycling and threw up about four times, washing the bin out each time. I seriously considered calling the ambulance or asking my dad to press his emergency call button. If it had lasted longer than one night, I probably would have gone to the doctor; thankfully it didn't. I also wondered about flu, as the family members who met us, had revealed they had gotten over a bug. Dad and I agreed that flu didn't normally happen this fast. I have had good experiences at Denny's in the past and the service that night was fine, and, while I don't want to get anyone into trouble, I feel people should know.
