My family of 4 went to Five Guys on 5/5, Friday. We all ordered fries and burgers (no cheese). We all were vomiting and had severe bowel movements for 4 days. Went to doctors within hours and I was told we suffered from food poisoning. We all were in severe pain for 3-4 days!! :(

“Went there early today and ordered a cheese burger asked the guy for it to be cooked well done as I’m breast feeding after taking a few bites into it I noticed it was pink and complained to them and they cooked me a new one. I went there around 3:30pm and when I got home at like 5/6pm I started to... feel sick. I then woke up out of my sleep at 1am with the sweats feeling really hot and felt like I needed to be sick. I went to the toilet and that’s when I was sick and also had really bad diarreha, I’m currently breast feeding my new born baby and is worried he might get sick too! ”

“I thought I had a great meal at 5:30 PM but started getting violent stomach ache, but thought it would pass. Wrong. My nausea kept getting intense & I vomited everything by 2AM. I got the cheese burger with bacon (2 patties) with the fries. I think the meat was undercooked and got E.coli. NEVER goin... g again. ”

“I had been up for about 5 hours before I decided to go get donuts and was feeling great! Picked up fresh glazed donuts there and about 1 hour later had stomach ache with gas and diarrhea. Did the Texas two step to the toilet about 3 times within a 1 hour period till I had some relief. Laid down with... a heating pad on a stomach , fell asleep for 1 hour and woke to past serious stomach pains, heart beating fast and a quick dash to the toilet for more diarrhea and nausea. I just took 2 tums, still got the box of donuts on counter for rest of family to eat when they wake, now I’m a bit concerned?! Son are a donut same time as me and has had no symptoms. I also have a nasty taste in my mouth,,. ”

Recall details: Riviana Foods Inc. is voluntarily recalling 19,931 cases of certain coded Ronzoni Smart Taste Extra-Wide N... oodle cellophane packages that contain an egg noodle product. The affected Ronzoni Smart Taste Extra-Wide Noodle packages do not declare the allergen “egg”, which is an ingredient in the noodle product. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to egg run the risk of serious allergic reaction if they consume this product.
The affected product was distributed nationally from March through August of this year. The product at issue can be identified by the manufacturing code and UPC number listed on the package as listed in the chart below.
- RONZONI® Smart Taste® Extra-Wide Noodles (12 oz. each) Manufacturing Codes: MAR3022H, MAR3122H, JUN0422H, JUN0522H, JUL2422H, JUL2522H. UPC: 71300 05008
No other varieties and no other manufacturing codes are included in this recall. At this time, Riviana has received one consumer complaint and no reports of illness or injury associated with this product.
The recall was initiated after it was discovered that product containing egg was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of egg. Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by a temporary breakdown in Riviana’s packaging review processes.
Riviana has instructed distributors and retailers who purchased affected product from Riviana to segregate the recalled products from their inventories so that a Riviana sales representative may assist retailers in the disposition of the product.
Consumers should return the affected product to the store where they purchased it for a full refund. Consumers who may have questions or concerns should call Riviana’s toll free Consumer Relations number at 1-800-730-5957, Monday through Friday, between 9 am and 5 pm (Eastern).
