Purchased the coleslaw September 14th. Coleslaw remained refrigerated the entire time while in my possession except for the short ten-minute trip home from the store and was well within its printed sell-by time frame. Opened the next day to eat some. The film seal was entirely intact and had no signs of damage. The coleslaw smelled a little differently than I'm used to from other brands and place I've had coleslaw, but this was my first time trying this brand, so I assumed their recipe was just a little different than the rest. After having consumed no food at all for over six hours, I opened the sealed container to eat some. Tasted fine. An hour later, opened the container again to eat some more, and the smell was worse, almost like it was rotten. Took one more bite to check it out, tasted fine, but the smell was so horid, I threw it out to get the smell out of my house. This coleslaw was the only food I had eaten in over six hours. About thirty minutes after discarding the coleslaw, my stomach started to feel uneasy. Antacids didn't help the uneasiness. Got home from work ninety minutes after that and had explosive diarrhea. The stool looked solely like the coleslaw, and it smelled of death. An hour later, another round of explosive diarrhea with similar results. Went to bed and woke up crippling digestive pain and more explosive diarrhea. An hour after that, the crippling abdominal/digestive pain had not subsided despite taking more antacids and some ibuprofen. More explosive diarrhea with similar results, and I am now writing this report immediately after using the bathroom that second time after waking up. The only food I've consumed since I first ate the coleslaw was just the coleslaw. Having eaten no food now for roughly fifteen hours, symptoms are still present. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Cramps, Stomach Pain
There is not one bacteria at all, unless a self limiting staff from unclean hands, that gives explosive diarrhea that fast.

Hi, thanks for your comment - but this is not entirely true. You CAN get sick from food that quick. If the contamination is chemical or physical, symptoms can start within minutes. If it is biological contamination it can start as fast as 30 minutes (e.g. staph). Other types of contamination can take longer, it all depends on what it was, but it can be fast!
