Symptoms: Diarrhea Nausea Vomiting

I went to the Dominican Republic to visit family and stayed for two weeks in la Vega which is close to the second capital Santiago . On the third to last day we went to puerto plata at the beach . That same night I got extremely sick and had severe diarrhea . My stool was light brown with mucus!!! I flew back immediately to seek treatment in New York City . Turned out I had a severe bacterial infection . Won’t be going back for awhile until I figure out a way to cook my own food and filter my own water smh

“Not sure 14 of the 15 were sick. 2 people were nauseated and throwing up on day 3 if trip. 2 more day after and they had chills and fever. Day later 3 more very bad diareah...rest had combination of symptoms 2 the day they returned ..and one more got sick again at home. All of us are still feeling... See Moreoff. See Less”

“My wife and Inlaws all became sick at this resort on our last day staying there. I've never puked so much in my life. All 4 of us started feeling it sometime after a lunch buffet. It took 2 days to get a clean room that wasn't covered in mold. The resort needs a serious cleaning on all fronts.... See MoreAir conditioners not working... and much more. “Myself and eight others got sick on our 7 day vacation. Super upsetting but all of us had diarrhoea, vomiting and stomach pains. We ate at the same buffets and lost two days of vacation.
