Hot pocket Pepperoni and Spicy Chicken, Easley, SC, USA

908 Crestview Road, Easley, 29642 South Carolina, United States

I bought Hot Pocket pepperoni pizza around 5:30PM and cooked both of the pouches in the microwave. I felt sick afterward but went in my bedroom and played Minecraft. Later, around 7:20PM(6 minutes prior to report), I cooked some spicy chicken and consumed it, immediately having to rush to the bathroom and having painful diarrhea. 😕 | Symptoms: Diarrhea

*Update* - September 30, 2021

As of September 29, 2021, 419 people infected with the outbreak strain of Salmonella Oranienburg have been reported from 35 states (AL, GA, KY, LA, MS, OK, AR, CA, CT, FL, IL, IN, IA, KS, MD, MA, MI, MN, MO, NE, NJ,... The sick person reported that the condiment container also contained onions, but none were left in the cup when it was tested.

Because multiple food items were present in the container and in the sample that was tested, it is not possible to know which food item was contaminated.

A specific food item has not yet been identified as the source of this fast-growing outbreak. The investigation is ongoing.
