THE Bureau of Environmental Health on Monday shut down Shin Sen restaurants in Garapan, after finding multiple sanitary violations, including cockroach and rodent infestations.BEH shut down Shin Sen restaurant.
According to a media statement from the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp., BEH received a complaint from a consumer who saw a rat in the dining area of Shin Sen.
“BEH found rodent droppings throughout the establishment,” Igisaiar said, adding that there was also a grease-build up on the exhaust hood. Other poor sanitary practices were observed by BEH inspectors, she said.
For repeated violations, a $200 penalty was imposed on the restaurant, and its operation was suspended due to serious health hazards and violations, BEH said.
