“Picked up a Chef's Salad from the deli area yesterday (Feb 19). The date on the salad was Best By Feb 20. Once I got home, I ate half and threw the rest away after noticing a strange taste in some of the lettuce. About 6 hours later, I had... extreme diarrhea. The next morning my stomach was cramping and again, had diarrhea. I have never eaten one of these salads before and now I know better. ”
“I purchased chicken salad (Freshness Guaranteed Brand) with Cranberries, Celery, Pecans a 12 oz size. Deli section in open refrigeration. The stamped on label indicated "Good if used by 2/18/20. I purchased middle Jan and eat some Jan 19th. The other label indicated that it was fully cooked, ready to... eat, use within 5 to 7 days after opening. I eat a about 4 oz. with three saltines. Which was the only thing I had eaten that day except a mini bagel early that morning. Later that evening between 6:00 & 7:00 p.m. I ate some of the chicken salad. About 60 to 90 minutes later all hell broke loose. I became nausea first and started vomiting. Followed by Diarrhea, sweating, dizziness, shortness of breath. I was on the floor most of the time. This went on for next few hours until the morning. It appeared to be calming down and then my stomach started to balloon and cramp and I started back sweating. I went to the bathroom and nothing but blood was coming from my body. I used the bathroom 5 to 6 times after that and each time, just blood. I was frighten and exhausted. I went to the emergency room that same morning and admitted to the hospital where I was put in a room with a red warning on the door and everyone who came in was covered. It was explained to me that until they knew what was going on with me I would be isolated. I was given a CT Scan. It indicated that I had so much inflammation in the large intestine/colon that it was feared I had a sever form of Colitis or Clostridium difficile (C Diff). contracted from contaminated food or something. I was given several bags of antibiotics through IV. I was released from the hospital after 1 night and 2 full days. I recently received a hospital bill for almost $20,000 and that does not include the ER fee of $300 that I paid up front. It is now Feb 19, and although, I still suffer from some abdominal tenderness and mild nausea, I am so greatly to be alive. The evening this happened, I thought my life was over. It was determined that I had acute form of colitis as documented by the hospital. ”
“This is the second time my husband bought a frozen Cheesecake Factory cheesecake and it caused us abdominal pain, diarrhea, cramping and diarrhea, it’s very uncomfortable right now, I won’t eat it again ever! Abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, two people, 3 hours, this is the second time he has bought... it at the same store so now I know for sure not to eat it. ”
“This is the second time I have bought a Marketside Ranch Cobb Salad and it has made me sick...first time I got it, I had stomach cramps and diarrhea. I ate half one day and the next day ate the other half and realized it had made me sick...this time... I am nauseated and vomiting. ”
“All of the food we have eaten there has made us so sick. Diarrhea, stomach pains and nausea ”
“On February 13th my daughter ate a can of Great Value Beef Ravioli with Tomato Sauce. About 30 minutes later she started getting a bad stomach ache..She couldn’t stand up straight. She tried to go to sleep. After about an hour of laying down, she ran to the restroom because... she had diarrhea. She went to the restroom several times during the night after that with more explosive diarrhea..Then at about 4:00 in the morning she began vomiting. At one point she had diarrhea and vomiting at the same time. ”
“Oatmeal cookies from bakery they were discounted for $1.50. Really bad bubble gut....tummy ache and throwing up. Burps are horrible I ate about 6 cookies right before bed around midnight. Woke up at 9am running to the bathroom w diarreah and had nausea. Constant pure liquid diarreah and tummy aches... along with really horrible smelling burps and lots of burping. Body chills are the worst I can't get warm. I'm the only one who ate the cookies ”
“I ate the food and started getting pains in my tummy but before I even lef I saw a rat inside the building on the table going through the food boxes this has been worst experience ”
“I was drinking a Dr. Topper soda from a can. Took several sips and it tasted off. Kind of like that of an antibiotic such as penicillin. I kept drinking it because I was thirsty. Then suddenly I noticed my breathe smelled of ammonia. So I sniffed the drink and... it smelled like urine after taking Amoxicillin. So I had others taste test it and they spat it out. Then I poured it into a glass. To my dismay some hard object about a 1/2 in long which resembles a rat feces fell out and some white fluffy stuff. I was very disgusted and I am scared. Now I am having stitch like pains in my side and my throat feels like something is stuck in it. I called my nurse and poison control. I will go to urgent care in the mornkng. If I don't feel better. Poison control said to dilute the drink by drinking copious amounts of water and not to induce vomiting. She said it may make things worse. I feel very queasy and sick like I probably will vomit on my own. Belching and dry heaving at the moment. Feel anxiety and scared to ever drink a soda again.
Actually me and a family member were hospitalized over the weekend. Turns out the material caused an infection. ”
“My husband and I shared a green smoothie on a Saturday afternoon. On Sunday, I had a rumbly stomach and then diarrhea for hours. The next morning, my husband woke up with the same thing, plus crawly skin, achiness and the chills. (This is how food poisoning always affects him.)... Neither of us have vomited, but it's Tuesday, and we both still have stomach pain and fatigue. No one else around is or had been ill, and the smoothie is the only thing we had all weekend that was different than everyone else in the family. I'm always cautious about consuming smoothies out, just because there is a risk the produce and the equipment maybe aren't as carefully washed as they are when I make them at home. Our delayed response makes sense to us, since it takes a while for some pathogens to multiply and make themselves known in the body. This was our first time eating (drinking) here and it'll likely be our last, unfortunately. ”
“went there to eat dinner at 5:13 p.m. January 29th 2020. Chicken Bowl. Chicken Quesadilla Me and my daughter went there and ate a chicken bowl Guacamole chicken quesadilla small soda and chips 5 minutes into the mail my daughter jumped up ran to the restroom holding her mouth and... stomach and the restroom she was vomiting we disregard the meal I took her out of the place and my symptoms were headaches and nausea ”
“My husband and I both had horrible GI symptoms for 3 days. My son said he thought he got sick from here a few weeks ago but there was a lot of crud going around at the time. When we got sick within 3 hours of eating here too, it’s... confirmed. Never again. ”
“Four of us went there for dinner, 3 of us got sick. We had salsa, guacamole, chips, bean and rice burrito, and 3 Chile Rellenos orders.
We can’t pinpoint the culprit as 2 people that ate the Chile Rellenos and the 1 person with the bean and rice burrito got... sick. The 4th person had the same food as the others but never got sick.
We think it could have been the salsa as they brought a 2nd round of salsa to the table in which the 4th person did not have.
The sickness included lots of vomit and diarrhea for about 12 hours. Chills and fever were present. ”
