Goodbye! and best wishes in your recovery

County Mayo, Ireland

Mayo University Hospital (MUH) is dealing with a Norovirus outbreak in one of their wards, because of that, they are advising that visits to the affected ward will be restricted to those who have reason to visit on compassionate grounds.

MUH is also requesting that people do... See More not visit the hospital if they are feeling unwell from symptoms of winter vomiting or flu-like symptoms, also they are appealing to the public not to visit the hospital if they have had contact with people with diarrhea and/or vomiting. These measures are vital to avoid spreading the virus to sick vulnerable patients.

Norovirus is very contagious and is easily transmitted from person to person most through the oral/fecal route. Considering that hand sanitizer does NOT work against this virus, it is important to wash your hands with soap frequently. Use bleach to clean and disinfect surfaces. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.

Recent Interesting Reports

The Farmers' Creamery, based in Mio, MI, is voluntarily recalling specific milk products due to potential improper pasteurization. The recall was initiated on February 7, 2024, as a precautionary measure to ensure consumer safety. No illnesses or hospitalizations have been reported in connection with the recalled products.... See More

The product in question is the "European Food Factory 100% Grass Fed A2/A2 MOOMOO Grade A Plain Yogurt". The yogurt is packaged in plastic bottles and can be identified by the brand name on the label. The lot codes for the recalled products are marked as "Sell By 4-8".

Customers with recalled products should not consume them and should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consuming products that are not fully pasteurized can pose a significant health risk, especially to the young, elderly, or immunocompromised individuals.

If you are experiencing symptoms after eating this product it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist seek medical attention.

I decided to try this place out and I had their lunch special where you pick three rolls. I had the spicy yellowtail, shrimp tempura and chicken tempura. Im a regular sushi eater but I usually like to stick with the tempura ones. I’m guessing the poisoning... See More came from the yellowtail. After about an hour or so of eating the sushi I became very bloated and had a minor stomachache but then after time went by the pain progressed. I had terrible PAINFUL stomach cramps and diarrhea. It made me very gassy as well. Kept having to RUN to the toilet. The worst part was the pain in my stomach that would wake me up from my sleep, almost brought tears to my eyes. I almost felt like I could vomit from the pain alone, and from wanting this pain out of my stomach. Just when I thought the pain was gone and I released it all, a new wave of pain came flooding in. I WILL NEVER TRY THIS PLACE AGAIN THIS EXPERIENCED LITERALLY SCARRED ME | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Cramps, Gas, Bloating, Stomach Pain See Less
