Hello, just like us. We would like to report it and sue for compensation. We spent half of our vacation in bed. We are absolutely certain that it came from the food, we only ate in the hotel. Parallel to my husband have at the same time (!!!) 3 men vomited at night. You could hear it all night through the noisy rooms. That would be a big coincidence if it was a gastrointestinal virus that it affects so many people at the same time (to the exact hour)...

I've only eaten at the hotel all my vacation. On Friday, I was hospitalized on site with food poisoning. The hotel's contaminated food was to blame for this. Although the problem is known (as a result of a small search on the Internet that many other guests... The Food Safety Agency (FSA) with the collaboration of Polish authorities is investigating Salmonella Enteritidis outbreaks linked to Polish eggs and poultry products in the UK. Details reveal one strain responsible for 47 confirmed cases, with 25 attributions to a single restaurant and 18 cases likely as... See More a result of restaurant exposure. The second strain outbreak linked to Polish eggs is connected to 87 additional cases, a significant number reported in June and July 2023, with a concentration in bakeries in Cornwall where custard tart production is suspected to be the source. The eggs used in this production have been traced back to Poland, highlighting the interconnectedness of the problem.

The offending pathogens were unearthed during extensive infection tracing and environmental sampling on-site in Poland. A coordinated effort observed a correlation between human cases in the UK and Polish samples, leading to definitive suspect sources and putting a spotlight on an erstwhile unsuspected food source. Further investigations and exploration of the supply chain are underway involving the implicated Polish manufacturers and egg suppliers.

Consumers are urged to stay vigilant and mindful of their food sources and preparation. The FSA, UKHSA, and foreign authorities continue to monitor the situation closely.

In case you are experiencing Salmonella symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.

The FSIS announced the recall of approximately 58,281 pounds of ground beef products by American Foods Group, LLC, doing business as Green Bay Dressed Beef, LCC that may be contaminated with Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC) O103. These products were shipped to distributors in Georgia, Michigan and... See More Ohio. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.

The recalled products are:
- Approximately 80-lb. cases containing 10-lb. plastic tubes (chubs) of "90050 BEEF FINE GROUND 81/19" with lot code D123226026.
- Approximately 80-lb. cases containing 10-lb. plastic tubes (chubs) of "20473 BEEF HALAL FINE GROUND 73/27" with lot code D123226027.
- Approximately 80-lb. cases containing 10-lb. plastic tubes (chubs) of "20105 BEEF FINE GROUND 73/27" with lot code D123226027.

The raw, ground beef items were produced on Aug. 14, 2023 and bear the establishment number "EST. 18076" inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The problem was discovered when FSIS was notified that a sample collected by a state public health partner tested positive for the presence of E. coli O103.

Clinical labs often don't test for non-O157 STEC like O103 due to its challenging identification. Symptoms of infection can appear 2-8 days after exposure, typically causing diarrhea, vomiting, and sometimes severe illness. Diagnosis involves stool sample testing, with treatment mainly focusing on rehydration and support; antibiotics are usually not recommended. While most recover within a week, a few may experience severe complications like Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS), more common in young children, older adults, and those with weakened immunity, characterized by bruising, pallor, and reduced urine output, requiring immediate medical attention for those with such symptoms.

Distributors and other customers who have purchased these products for further processing should not use them or further distribute them.

In case you are experiencing E. coli symptoms, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.

I think that I have food poisoning. I purchased a watermelon last night from Krogers at 5995 Stage Rd Memphis, TN. I believe it was contaminated. I noticed when I first cut into it that the rind in the spot I was cutting was soft. I cut... See More a piece and ate it, it was exceptionally sweet. So I ate a large slice of it. Within minutes I vomited it up and had a severe case of diarrhea. I thought maybe, I had eaten too much at one time. I ate another slice today around 2pm, and the same thing happened. I've concluded that it is the watermelon that's causing me the sudden onsets of diarrhea. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Stomach Pain, Other, Vomiting See Less
