Ordered crispy buttermilk chicken sandwich on 11/12, I ate the crispy edges of the outside of the sandwich and when I got to the center, it was slimy and brown and had the texture of being raw, it totally killed my appetite and I threw it away.... On 11/13 I felt pretty normal but I had no appetite that day and did not eat. 11/14 I woke myself out of my sleep with stomach cramps and then projectile vomiting, the vomiting wouldn't stop and it was just bile. I went to the ER, they gave me some medication and sent me home. Diarrhea started shortly after I came home. It is now 11/15 and I have fever, chills, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, stomach cramps. I can't prove it but it's the only thing that makes sense. Thanks to the psychological phenomena of classical conditioning, I can truthfully say I don't plan on eating Mcdonalds or any fast food chicken anything for a very, very long time. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Cramps, Chills, Loss of Appetite, Fever, Bile

The Seattle & King County Public Health announced they are investigating a gastrointestinal illness associated with a private event catered by a Tacos El Guero food truck on September 14. Preliminary indications suggest the cause could be a bacterial toxin like Clostridium perfringens or Bacillus cereus. To... date, 34 sick people who developed one or more symptoms consistent with bacterial toxin, including diarrhea, abdominal cramping, and nausea have been reported. Illness onset dates ranged from September 14, 2023, to September 15, 2023. The investigation is in progress.
The exact food or drink leading to these health issues has yet to be identified. However, it's not unusual to encounter difficulties tracing the exact cause for bacterial toxin outbreaks. Bacterial toxin illnesses are typically short-lived and by the time people seek care, if they do at all, it is often too long after the suspected exposure to test.
Environmental Health investigators conducted a thorough inspection of the Tacos El Guero food truck and the restaurant on September 18. The team identified potential risk factors, including inadequate refrigeration, improper cooling and reheating of food, and lack of managerial oversight. In addition, it was found that unpermitted food was being served from the truck.
As a response to the unsafe practices observed during the investigation, the investigators ordered the immediate closure of the restaurant on September 18 to mitigate the situation. The restaurant will only be allowed to reopen after demonstrating the adoption of appropriate food handling measures.

Suspected food poisoning. Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Stomach Pain, Cramps
Suspected source: Cereal Cheerios
Onset: Right away
Duration: 4 to 12 hours
Additional information: I had Cheerios in the morning with almond milk and felt immediate nausea after eating them and within a couple of hours... I had the worst stomach pain, followed by diarrhea. The stomach pain continued till I went to bed. I don’t eat cheerios often, but my sister does and she had previously said she always needed to go to the bathroom after she ate them. We suspected it was lactose intolerance but later realized her milk is actually lactose free. I had mine with almond milk, so the common denominator here is the cheerios.
