The recalled product is:
- Robinson Fresh kale greens, 16 ounces, package: green and white plastic bags with a UPC code number 0 95829 60015 9, a Best if Used by Date of May 1, 2023 and additional code numbers 23/103/18.01/2/51.
The contamination was discovered after routine sampling by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Inspectors and subsequent analysis by NYS Food Laboratory personnel revealed the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in “Robinson Fresh” brand kale greens.
Customers who have purchased the affected product are urged to return them to place of purchase for a full refund.
In case you are experiencing Listeria monocytogenes symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
