Achdut LTD. a company based on Ariel, Israel issued a recall on Nov 27th of Tahini products as they may be contaminated with Salmonella as the FDA is investigating a positive finding of Salmonella in a US import sample of the product. This strain is the same identified in five people sick with Salmonella in NY, MI, and HI. No hospitalizations or deaths have been reported so far.

If you have purchased this product, throw it away or return it to the place of purchase for a refund. The tahini products are Tahini, Whole Tahini, Organic Tahini and Seasoned Tahini, with expiration dates April 7th to May 21st 2020.
