Over the concern of possible Salmonella contamination, Mondelez Global LLC announced a voluntary recall of Ritz Cracker Sandwiches and Ritz Bits product in the United States, including Puerto Rico & the U.S. Virgin Islands. This recall is made after a third party supplier recall of whey powder, which is an ingredient in the previously mentioned products, due to the potential presence of Salmonella.

So far, there are no illnesses connected to this case. You can check the complete list of recalled products here.
According to the FDA "Salmonella is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems." If you bought any of these products, you should discard them or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
