Consider Bardwell Farm LLC is recalling cheese in five states including CA, MA, NY, TX, and VT for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The 3 cheeses recalled are Dorset, Slyboro, and Experience. In response to the recall Whole Foods Market stores has voluntarily recalled Dorset cheese in the North Atlantic and Northeast.

The products recalled are Dorset, Slyboro, and Experience Dorset, Slyboro, and Experience produced 4/28/2019 until the present. At Whole Foods Market stores in CT, ME, MA, NH, NJ, NY and RI, the affected cheeses were cut and wrapped in plastic with a Whole Foods Market scale label, identifiable by PLU code 97776 with sell-by dates through 10/30/2019.
Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, pregnant women, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.
