According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) approx 135,810 pounds of fully cooked poultry products were recalled by Tip Top Poultry, Inc. because it may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled product is packaged for hotels, restaurants, and institutions nationwide.

The recalled products bear establishment number “P-17453” inside the USDA mark of inspection and have “PACK DATE 01/21/19” on the labels. FSISadvises to institutions who have purchased these products not to serve them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
This recall was originated after the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) notified FSIS that a sample of these products produced by Tip Top Poultry, Inc. were tested positive for Listeria.
