Great Value and HEB brand taco seasoning is being recalled because it contains Salmonella. The seasoning packets are sold at Wal-Mart and HEB stores. The taco seasoning is produced by Williams Foods LLC and may be contaminated with Salmonella. There have been no illnesses linked to this recall according to the FDA.

FDA advises to consumers who have purchased these products not to consume them but to discard them or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. The recalled products are the following:
- Great Value Mild Taco Seasoning Mix. 1 oz package. UPC 0 78742 24572 0. Best by 07/08/21 and 07/09/21
- HEB Taco Seasoning Mix Reduced Sodium. 1.25 oz package. UPC 0 41220 79609 0. Best by dates: 07/10/21; 07/11/21; and 07/15/21
