Listeria concerns - Grand Strand Sandwich Company recalls several products containing chicken

Grand Strand Sandwich Company issued a recall of their Lunch Box Chicken Salad Fresh Wedges, Lunch Box Chicken Salad Frozen Wedges, Fresh and Local Chicken Salad Croissants products because they may be contaminated with Listeria. This recall originated after one of their chicken suppliers, Tip Top Poultry, issued a voluntary recall of ready to eat products due to possible Listeria contamination. No illnesses have been linked to this recall so far.

Grand Strand Sandwich Company recall

The company advised that these products were distributed and sold primarily in convenience stores and vending machines in North Carolina and South Carolina. Also, they advise consumers who have purchased these products to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. The recalled products are the following, with various "Best by" dates.

  • Lunch Box Chicken Salad Fresh Wedge. UPC: 0 67068 12105 4
  • Fresh and Local Chicken Salad Croissants. UPC: 0 67068 13105 3    
  • Lunch Box Chicken Salad Frozen Wedge. UPC: 0 67068 12105 4
