Different lots of “MDH Sambar Masala” are being recalled by House of Spices (India) after it tested positive for Salmonella. No illnesses have been reported linked to this recall so far according to the recall notice published by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). FDA also advises consumers who have purchased the recalled products to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
The recalled product was distributed in Northern California retail stores and comes in a 3.5 oz (100g), in a box with red and white MDH Logo (as shown in the picture above). The recalled lot codes are the following:
- 107. Expiration date: Nov 2021
- 48. Expiration date: Dec 2021
- 47. Expiration date: Dec 2021
