The FDA published a recall notice of Arla Apetina Marinated Feta & Olives in Oil, Pitted by UNFI as this might have been exposed to higher temperatures than the required for the proper storage of the product which may allow the growth of bacteria such as Clostridium Botulinum. No illnesses have been linked to this recall to date.

The FDA warns consumers not to use the product even if it does not look or smell spoiled. Retailers who may have the product on their shelves are advised to remove and discard them safely and contact UNFI for a full refund. The recalled product comes in a 3.1-pound plastic package (as shown above) with UPC: 9393605697, and was distributed in IN, KY, IL, MI, FL, OH, MO.
