Recall details: Hy-Vee, Inc., based in West Des Moines, Iowa, is recalling an additional 12 salads across its eight-state region due... See More to the potential that they may be contaminated with Cyclospora. The potential for contamination was brought to Hy-Vee’s attention when Fresh Express – which manufactures the product – announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control Prevention (CDC) expanded its investigation of an outbreak of Cyclospora in the upper Midwest section of the United States.

The 12 salads are in addition to the 12 oz. Hy-Vee Bagged Garden Salad product that Hy-Vee pulled last week after initial notification of the investigation. Hy-Vee now has 13 private label bagged salad products (all expiration dates) that are being recalled as a result.

The products were distributed to Hy-Vee grocery stores across its eight-state region of Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin. The list below outlines the 13 products that have been recalled. No other Hy-Vee branded salads are impacted by today’s recall.

Experienced upset stomach within 30 mins from eating this. Once onboard, within 1 hour started to feel nauseous. Proceeded to vomit and diarrhoea for 15 hours, every hour.  Stopped as abruptly as it started. Felt sick for days after. Flight was March 14 departure.

March 10, 2020
FDA announced the recall of all cases of Enoki Mushroom by Sun Hong Foods, Inc because they are linked with a Listeria monocytogenes outbreak announced by the CDC. The mushrooms are the likely source of a multistate outbreak where 36 people have been reported sick with Listeria across 17 states (AZ, CA, FL, HI, IN, KY, MD, MA, MI, MO, NV, NJ, NY, NC, RI, TN, VA). 30 people of the total cases have required hospitalization and four deaths have been reported.

FDA advises consumers not to eat this product and to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. The recalled products were distributed in CA, FL, IL, OR, WA, and TX. Stores that potentially sell this product: (Asian Supermarket), J&L Supermarket, Jusgo Supermarket, ZTao Market, New Sang Supermarket, and Galleria Market.

- Enoki Mushrooms (7.05 oz/200g). Sold in clear plastic bags with green panels. UPC: 7 426852 625810. Sold under refrigerated conditions.

We were under the assumption that had a generator to keep the food frozen we later found out this was not the case. The food should have been thrown out No exception without a doubt no generator equals a recipe of food spoiling and people getting sick. This is unacceptable !!!
