    There are many components of Cajun food that could be the source of food poisoning. Shellfish, when eaten raw or undercooked, can be contaminated with Vibrio Vulnificus. A vibriosis infection occurs within 24 hours of consuming the contaminated shellfish and is accompanied by watery diarrhea, nausea, fever, and chills.

    - 32-oz. Plastic containers of “Lady Jambalaya Homemade Jambalaya.”
    - 32-oz. Plastic containers of “Lady Jambalaya Homemade Gumbo.”

    The products were produced beginning in September 2021, have various sell by dates, and do not bear the USDA mark of inspection because Wild Cajun Meals, LLC is not a federally inspected establishment.

    FSIS is concerned that some products may be in consumers’ freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

    If you are experiencing symptoms after eating the affected products it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist seek medical attention.
