    Product: Gatorade

    Updated: June 1, 2023 12:12 AM
I bought a bottle of Gatorade cucumber lime and drank about half of cup. I immediately became nauseous. A few minutes later I vomited 2 times | Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting See Less

Suspected food poisoning. Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Fever, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Chills
    Suspected source: sushi
    Onset: Less than 4 hours
    Duration: Less than 4 hours
Additional information: I've been here about 8 times over the last year or so. This was our go to place in Monterey when... See More we want Japanese food. However, May 28, 2023 I had a really bad experience. I at the Triple Tuna which I have ordered before. It tasted fine as far as I could tell, but about 30-40 min after finishing lunch, I could tell my stomach wasn't feeling right.

I had one bout of the runs about 60-90 min after I finished eating. Things went south from there. Felt terrible, nausea, abdominal pain, then I got the chills really bad, like really bad. I called 911 for some medical advice, but food poisoning you just have to puke and poop it out and drink gatorade and water and wait for it to pass through your system. Still, the 911 operator sent an ambulance and they took my BP and did an EKG and gave me the usual advice. There was even 2 fireman with them! I quickly asked them to leave since I am sure they have more important calls to attend.

Why I won't be back. Though I've been a regular customer here. I called them yesterday and asked to speak to a manager. The guy who answered said, "there is no manager here today" and hung up. Great. I then called back and was shuffled to 3 different people when I told them I was sick after eating lunch at their restaurant. The last guy I talked to said someone would call me back. A woman called back as the paramedics were working on me so my wife took the call, but she basically said, "Our tuna is fresh!" so I must have gotten food poisoning somewhere else. Great. Thanks for the call. Hopefully this wasn't a part of a larger problem here.

No one from the restaurant has contacted me since I was poisoned.

It's now $30 per meal to eat at Crystal Fish and that's getting a bit pricey for me. Due to this experience with food poisoning and how the staff dealt with it - no apologies, no comped meal, no checking up on me the next day etc, they just lost a repeat customer. Anybody know of another Japanese restaurant in the area that you'd recommend?

Oddly, even though they have a website, I could not find an email address to contact them with. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Fever, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Chills

My Father and his friend got food poisoning from this restaurant in 2020 Our family has lived here for 58 years. We always went to Ichi Riki. Hope you are doing better.

On taco Tuesday, my wife got 2 quesabirria tacos and I got a meatless breakfast burrito. This is the first time we ate outside the house in weeks, as my busy work schedule had me on pb&j and fresh fruit. Seeing this is the only place we’ve... See More shared a meal together in a while, I’m holding Tita’s accountable for our sickness. We both have lost time from work from the violent stomach cramps that lead to severe diarrhea and vomiting. Last few days we’ve been surviving on crackers and Gatorade. We’ve both been sick before, but hands down this is the worst food poisoning we ever had. This establishment definitely needs to be shut down to protect others. Had this been elderly or children, the end results could have been tragic. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Cramps See Less

Maybe it's because you eat pb&j for a living lil bro

Suspected food poisoning. Symptoms: Nausea, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Headache
Suspected source: Great Value sodium-free salt alternative
    Onset: 4 to 12 hours
    Duration: Several Weeks
    Sick: 2 people
Additional information: We use this salt as an additive to our daily water intake as a way to increase our... See More potassium levels (think homemade Gatorade). It is one of very few ingredients, and was being made fresh and ingested daily. We both noticed the bottle smelled badly of a plasticy, petroleum smell, but figured it was just the cheap bottle itself. Over the next few months of use, I began to have debilitating headaches, constant cramps and stomacn upset, and ended up on several medications from my doctor, thinking it was likely stress related. It wasn't until recently that we saw others saying they had also smelled the awful bottle smell, but unlike us, used it in a way they could taste the "salt" itself (without any additional flavorings), saying it was bitter and chemical tasting. We switched brands to Original No Salt, and my symptoms went away shortly after, and I no longer have to take either of the medications prescribed regularly by my doctor since the switch away from Great Value. Someone who left a review directly on said they had it independently tested, and found it contained toxic chemicals, but did not specify what exactly. But in light of them being in a current lawsuit for their spices containing high levels of lead, arsenic, and cadmium, I can't imagine what was found to be a good thing. | Symptoms: Nausea, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Headache See Less

I had a bowl which chicken, salsa, lettuce and cheese. It was good and although the chicken was room temperature, I still enjoyed my meal with my friends, we were having a picnic on the grass at UD. During the car drive home I felt so dehydrated... See More and was sweating a lot, had to make an emergency stop at CVS for water and gatorade. About 90 minutes after I got home, I had really bad diarrhea and I felt like I was about to vomit (I didn't), and I suspect it was the stuff I ate here. This was on April 12th, 2023. It is now the 13th and I have a loss of appetite and felt a little nauseous this morning but the diarrhea went away. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Sweating, Loss of Appetite See Less

    Getting sick after drinking Gatorade
I drank a small blue Gatorade bottle at 11:34 pm. My last sip of the bottle I noticed I got some slime texture in my mouth. I tried to take it out of my mouth but I couldn’t feel it with my... See More fingers. When I looked at my fingers trying to see if I got anything I noticed slimy texture stretching between my fingers. I immediately ran to the sink and tried to spit it out. I got a cheeseburger, fries, and a chocolate shake at about 4:15 PM. I was on my way to a welding class in Denver. At around 7.00 pm I started not feeling really well. By 8:30 PM I had to leave the class and barely made it... See More outside. I violently vomited seven times, I had horrendous chills, and a sharp headache. I barely made it home when the diarrhea started. I had to double Dragon all night feeling exhausted today, but can at least eat some graham crackers, and keep Gatorade down. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Headache, Chills See Less

Friday 02/17/2023, I ate a large serving marie callender turkey pot pie- with in the hour I experienced extreme chills and severe body aches! Never thinking it could be food poisoning because there was no vomiting although I felt nausea and no diarrhea! As evening fell to... See More night I began to run fever and ultimately finished off Friday night in severe chills, body aching, headaches, feverish mess! Thinking I may have flu or covid or even a uti; my desperation trying to self diagnose, I took extremely hot baths , rested, drank plenty of gatorade, cranberry juice, hot tea, and water- I was still in full blown missery!
Monday, 02/20/2023, I saw my primary care provider all test possible were run and all negative; I retraced my steps of what I was doing.just before I became violently ill- Marie Callender Turkey Pot Pie! And because I had no nausea or diarrhea- I've been carrying poisoning in my gut for 4 days; today I took a laxative to purge. Still feeling miserable in the gut, onset of stomach ache today just before I decided to purge! | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Fever, Vomiting, Headache, Chills, Body Ache

I am currently experiencing the same issues after ingesting a Marie Callender Turkey Pot Pie. I had the same symptoms 2 weeks ago and couldn't narrow down what had made me sick as I cook for the recommended time. I ate the second of the two Turkey Pot Pies I had purchased at King Soopers (Kroger) back in January.
This is no doubt Salmonella food poisoning as I know the symptoms and have had it before over the years. My current symptoms include constant and extremely sharp stomach pain, body aches, fever, headaches and light headedness. Symptoms can last 3-4 days to a couple week depending on severity.
