Kraft Heinz is announcing a voluntary recall of approximately 83,800 cases of individually-wrapped Kraft Singles American processed cheese slices that were shipped to a limited number of customers. The voluntary recall comes as a precaution after a temporary issue developed on one of our wrapping machines, making... See More it possible that a thin strip of the individual film may remain on the slice after the wrapper has been removed. If the film sticks to the slice and is not removed, it could be unpleasant and potentially cause a gagging or choking hazard. No injuries or serious health issues have been reported.

Products included in the recall include 16 oz. Kraft Singles American Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Product with an individual package UPC of 0 2100061526 1 and a “Best When Used By” date of 10 JAN 24 through 27 JAN 24. Individual packages in this recall will contain an S and 72 in the Manufacturing code. Also included in the recall are 3 lb. multipacks of Kraft Singles American Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Product with a carton UPC of 0 2100060491 3 and a “Best When Used By” of 09 JAN 2024 through 13 JAN 2024 and 16 JAN 2024.

Only Kraft Singles American processed cheese slices with the case/package information mentioned above. No other varieties or sizes are included in the recall.

The issue was discovered after we received several consumer complaints about finding the plastic stuck to a slice, including six complaints of consumers saying they choked or gagged in connection with the issue. Kraft Heinz has fixed the machine that wrapped the affected slices and all other processing machines have been inspected. Consumers who purchased these items should not consume them and can return them to the store where it was purchased for an exchange or refund.

    Company name: Kraft Heinz
    Brand name: Kraft
Product recalled: American Processed Cheese Slices
Reason of the recall: Packaging defect causes potential for film to remain adhered to the cheese slice after the wrapper has been removed.

I absolutely cannot believe that my girlfriend has contracted food poisoning, YET AGAIN, not even a month since she suffered from the FP she got from a the Heinz-Kraft frozen food debaucle that we went through. I'm not sure what the heck is going on, but I... See More for one am starting to become extremely concerned and livid as to why FP is being injected into our reality, ON TOP OF ALL OF THE OTHER SETBACKS THAT LIFE THROWS AT US DAILY. I mean this is so disturbing to me for the fact that we are absolutely defenseless to this negligent & oblivious atrocity that in my opinion is BEYOND UNFAIR to the American consumer. If these food manufacturers are not competent enough to regulate their own Quality Assurance & henceforth the distribution of literally derailing innocent peoples lives, then the government I don't know some authoritative entity needs to step in implementing regulations pertaining to discplinary action, specifically in regards to making the distribution of death, (Packaged up as brands we've trusted our whole lives),legitmately punishable by law. I really don't know what all is going on within the food manufacturing industry, nor will ever or even desire to, but the fact that my chick has been poisoned twice within a matter of 4 weeks makes feel like,(And I am in the process of), demanding accountibility for this outright inhumane lack of consideration to the American consumer. I don't know who reads this, but if anyone out there would maybe happen to be able to help me out with like some guidance or advice on what to do, or really just affably compelled to enlighten me as to wt .. is going on, please feel free to contact me via email. I'm really at a loss on how I should go about this, but I can't keep watching my girlfriend look like shes about to die and literally having to investigate as to what the heck has happened to her. This madness is on the precipice of giving me an all-out anxiety attack of epic proportions. Thank you for your time & consideration. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Other See Less

The case involves myself my husband and my daughter(Sara) I made tater tots for dinner my husband immediately said that his did not taste right. They had a funny taste to them. At that time I told him mine were fine I had experience any issues with... See More mine, Just after saying that I've been into one that had a very bad taste to it I had five maybe six at that point that had tasted off to me as my husband described We stopped eating them at that time My daughter came in we asked her how hers were if they tasted funny she said they did but she just ate them anyway .

At that point all three of us discovered that there was something wrong with them I went back and I smelled the bag and the bag did not smell right it smelled wrong There was something wrong My daughter and I experienced mild stomach discomfort and nause as well as some issues with our throat. It felt tight restricted with difficulty in swallowing.

My husband as well had discomfort in his stomach and then nausea. I did contact the Kraft Heinz company responsible for the manufacturing They initially offered me $30 in coupons which I declined one because I do not use coupons because I cannot enter stores at this time. All of my groceries come through deliveries.

I also informed them that I was not going to be satisfied with that and I wanted to know what my family had ingested I asked them if they could test it and tell me what was in it and they said yes so I sent the product back to them and they prepared mailer through UPS that they furnished I waited nearly a month and made several phone calls for updates only to find out on February 17th 2027 I spoke with Larry in escalations who stated they were not able to tell me what my family ingested due to the compromised state of the sample and I quote him on that.

I do not understand what I mean by compromised state I sent it immediately through UPS with a tracking number of 1 ZXXXXX 9XXXXX3 I had the open case number with Kraft Heinz company of 8XX-XXX-X5n The Kraft Heinz company received the sample on January 18th of 2022. It was picked up on January the 12th of 2022 by UPS.

I made several follow-up calls one on January the 27th 2022 again on February the 8th 2022 I called again on February the 15th which they claimed they had tried to contact me and I found that to be incorrect because no messages were left and didn't know missed calls were on my phone. I contacted them again on February the 17th 2022 where I spoke with Larry and escalations and was told about the compromise to state of the sample At that point I was offered $90 which is not acceptable to members of my family were affected by this product The company cannot tell me what my family ingested even though I did send the sample back to them I have not been furnished a copy of the report and their findings. I have not even received and I'm sorry. I have found this whole experience to be very unprofessional and very unbecoming of such a well-known company.
I would like to hear their next offer in this matter to see if it would be acceptable.

I tested positive for E-Coli in my latest blood work and Urine, I believe I contracted it from there product. That is why I have had bloody loose stools stomach cramping. My Labs were off in Jan 2022 and now I have another infection as well/  | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Cramps, Bloody Stool
